10th Class Results: Pass percentage improves by 7%

Results depict improvement in the performance of the students

Srinagar: The pass percentage of the students has shown a considerable increase of seven per cent compared to last year in the 10th class results which were announced today.

The pass percentage of annual 2016 class 10 results is 83 percent while the last year percentage was 76.

Although the number of students who appeared in the examination was less than the last year but the results depict the improvement in the performance of the students.

Last year, as many as 60819 students — 32035 Boys and 28784 Girls appeared in the exams, out of which 35430 have passed. This year the number of students who appeared in exams was 58293 of which 48429 students have been declared successful.

“The students who have qualified the exams include 6221 students who have one subject reappear but they are treated as qualified,” said M A Jaloo, Joint Secretary JK BOSE.
