BANDIPORA — Basit Yousuf from Nesbal Sumbal has come off with flying colours in the Class 12th examination. He is the only student from the Government Higher Secondary School Sumbal who has crossed 450 marks in the examination.

Board of School Education today declared the Class 12th result in which girls outshined boys.

However, at Government Higher Secondary School Sumbal, it is the male student who has secured the first rank.

Basit Yousuf, who hails from Nesbal Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, secured 453 marks out of 500.

“We are very proud of Basit. He has added prestige to our school and we are elated,” said the Principal of the school.

His father Muhammad Yousuf said that Basit is a bright student and he hopes he will achieve what he wishes in the future.
