ANANTNAG — Authorities have decided to re-open schools in southern district of Anantnag in open fields.
Schools across Kashmir are closed since March this year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Sources said that District Development Commissioner Anantnag K.K. Sidha held a review meeting with Chief Education Officer Anantnag, officers of Department of Education, Social Welfare, ICDS Sectors, and Assistant Labour Commissioner Anantnag.
During the review meeting, the District Development Commissioner Anantnag ordered CEO Anantnag to re-open the schools in open fields and follow the SOP’s and guidelines issued by Administration and Health Department.
Sources said that Chief Education Officer is being asked to issue a circular to heads of the schools, asking them to choose a convenient and isolated place adjacent to their schools so that schools could be open in open fields.
