PULWAMA — Coronavirus patients at District Hospital Pulwama are facing the most severe problems, where they have not undergone second COVID-19 test for the past two weeks.
Patients said that they have been flocked like sheep and goats in this hospital and they are not being attended by doctors all the day, which has caused concern among the patients.
The patients, undergoing treatment, allege that they are not being provided basic facilities and they want to be shifted to other hospitals in the valley for further treatment.
The attendants at the hospital are complaining that no attention is being paid to the patients.
A patient infected with Coronavirus in the hospital said that he was shifted here a few days ago. “It is a crime to be infected with Coronavirus and the hospital staff is fearing us like we are wild animals,” he blamed.
Another patient said he was admitted in the hospital 11 days ago after testing Covid positive. The patient said that he has contacted the hospital administration for another test but no attention is being paid to him.
“We have been kept in the hospital like sheep and goats and are being deprived of such arrangements as needed,” he lamented.
It is pertinent to mention that the district administration has made this 200-bed hospital available for Coronavirus patients.
Pertinently, three Coronavirus patients, undergoing treatment, died in the hospital two days ago.
Meanwhile, when we tried to contact the Director Health Kashmir, he didn’t pick up the call despite repeated attempts.
