Srinagar: State Government on Wednesday appointment of B. V. R. Subrahmanyam (IAS) as Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir.
“Consequent to the placement of his services at the disposal of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, IAS (CG: 1987) is hereby appointed as Chief Secretary, J&K with immediate effect,” reads an order issued here by the GAD.
Upon the above appointment, One Government car shall be placed at his disposal on the terms that all expenses relating to maintenance of the vehicle including any payment on account of taxes, etc will be borne by the State Government against a payment of Rs. 100/- per month payable by the Chief Secretary for its use; and all running expenses of the vehicle will be paid by the State Government for all official purposes and private purposes upto 500 kilometers per month.
The officer, officer said shall be entitled to a fully furnished rent free Government accommodation for residential purposes.
