SRINAGAR — The Indian Army on Sunday clarified that the understanding concerning ceasefire remains in force and no Director General of Military Operations (DGMO)-level talks are slated for today.
“No DGMO talks are scheduled today,” the Army said in a statement, according to the news agency KNS.
Regarding the ceasefire reached earlier this month, the statement added that the accord forged during the DGMO interaction on May 12 carries no termination clause.
“As far as the continuation of the break in hostilities is concerned, there is no expiry date to it,” the communiqué affirmed.
