‘Infiltrator’ killed in Poonch, says Indian Army

POONCH — Indian Army on Thursday said that an infiltrator was killed during an exchange of fire in the Poonch sector of the Jammu region.

Jammu-based Defense spokesperson said that soldiers of the Indian Army observed suspicious movement of some infiltrators along LoC in the Poonch sector.

He said that soldiers challenged infiltrators and the militants fired on the troops.

The spokesperson said that besides the body of a militant, two AK-47 rifles, one pistol, and other warlike stores were recovered from the spot of the incident.
