JAMMU — Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan chief and a former BJP leader Chaudhary Lal Singh was on Wednesday stopped from going to Kishtwar by J&K Police.
According to reports, Singh was stopped at Doda and was detained by police.
He was moving towards Kishtwar where a RSS leader and his PSO were assassinated by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday.
“Singh was disallowed to move towards Kishtwar as a precautionary measure to avoid law and order situation there,” official sources said.
Kishtwar and Bhaderwah areas of the Jammu division of the state are under lockdown after government imposed curfew in the twin areas following killings.
