LeT militant associate from Shopian arrested in Jammu

JAMMU — Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) associate from Narwal area of Jammu.

As per the reports received by news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), one grenade was recovered from the possession of the arrested person.

The arrest was made in the area that holds NIA headquarter, railway station, Wave mall, and a key Army installation.

An FIR has been registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar U/S 18, 20, 23 ULAPA, 4/5 Explosive Act.

The arrested person has been identified as Shakir Ahmad Naikoo, a native of Zainpora area of Shopian district in south Kashmir.
