Three cops injured in stone-pelting in Poonch

SRINAGAR — Three policemen from Police Station Gursai of Poonch district were injured on Friday after villagers pelted stones on them.

Officials, while confirming the incident, said that a police party from Police Station Gursai reached Galuta village of Mendhar in connection with some investigation where villagers attacked the team and pelted stones over them.

“Three police personnel including two constables and one SPO were injured in the incident, who are receiving medical aid in a local hospital,” said officials.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of this matter and efforts are on to nab the fugitive.
