JKSSB approves the selection list of 550 Junior Staff Nurses

JAMMU — In the backdrop of the extraordinary circumstances developed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to supplement the efforts of the administration, J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) today approved the Select List of Junior Staff Nurses for the five new established Government Medical Colleges of J&K.

The Select List of Junior Staff Nurses was prepared on a fast track basis, as a special measure in view of the extraordinary circumstances prevailing in the UT due to COVID-19 pandemic, on the request of the Health & Medical Education Department.

An extraordinary meeting of the Board was convened in this regard, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Jahangir, KAS, Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board today in its office at Sehkari Bhawan Jammu.

The meeting was attended by Members of the Board, namely M. Shafiq Chak (KAS), Angrez Singh Rana (KAS), Pritam Lal Atri (KAS), Harvinder Kour (KAS) and Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza (KAS), Secretary JKSSB Mr. Ranjeet Singh (KAS) and other officers of the Board assisted in the conduct of proceedings.

It is pertinent to mention that the Select List for 550 posts of Junior Staff Nurses belonging to different categories as prescribed under relevant rules, referred to the JKSSB by the Health & Medical Colleges, has been approved and recommended to the said indenting Department.

These 550 posts of the Junior Staff Nurses were advertised by the Board under Item Nos 001, 002, 003, 004 and 005 of Notification No. 08 of 2019. A Wait List as required under rules, has also been prepared and forwarded to the indenting Department.
