10-year-old girl commits suicide in Sopore

SOPORE — A 10-year-old girl committed suicide in Nerhipora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon.

Reports reaching here said that the girl ended her life by hanging herself at home.

However, she was rushed to Sub District hospital where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.

The hospital authorities confirmed her death and said that the cause of death will be ascertained after conducting postmortem of the body.

Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of this incident.
