Amid snowfall, thousands participate in slain LeT militant’s last rites

PULWAMA — Braving the inclement weather conditions, thousands of mourners attended the funeral prayers of slain Lashkar-e- Toiba commander Irfan Ahmad Sheikh in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

Reports said that thousands of mourners converged in Chakoora, the native village of Shiekh to participate in his last rites.

Sheikh was killed in a brief shootout with the government forces on Wednesday evening in his native village.

Five back to back rounds of funeral prayers were held for Sheikh till the filing of this report. (GKNN)
