SRINAGAR — Netizens have trolled the leaders of Apni Party for calling amendments in domicile a “victory” of Jammu and Kashmir and giving its credit to party president Altaf Bukhari.

After the Central government amended its two-day-old order and reserved all jobs in Jammu and Kashmir for the domiciles of the Union territory – people who have stayed there for at least 15 years, leaders of Apni Party called it a “victory for Kashmiris”.

Apni Party leader Rafi Ahmad Mir in a social media post said, “It is the victory of Jammu and Kashmir now jobs are reserved for the people of J&K some good news in these times.”

He said, “I would like to thank Altaf Bukhari who persuaded Centre in time. People of J&K have emerged victorious and now jobs are reserved for the locals. It is a small step towards people friendly policy and lot more is to be done.”

Replying to Mir, Shahnawaz Ahmad said, “You mean to say it has been done on the advice of Altaf Bukhari. That means @BJP4JnK has not played any role.”

Moien Malik asked Apni Party not to take credit for it. “It was Jammu BJP unit which lodged a protest with HM Amit Shah and forced them to reverse this order.”

Altaf Bukhari Saturday welcomed the government of India’s move for amending the new domicile order. Extending gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the JKAP president said their personal intervention has made the much needed amendments to domicile law possible in a very short span of time.

However, Apni Party leaders including Bukhari were slammed by the netizens. “According to you its victory. But Humko Maaloom Hai Jannat Ki Haqeeqat Lekin, Dil Ke Khush Rakhne Ko Ghalib Yeh Khayal Achcha Hai,” wrote Ajaz Jan on Twitter.

Riyaz Ahmad, a netizen said, “What is there to celebrate Mr Bukhari. Outsiders are still elegant. You are just making a fun of yourself don’t try be over smart you are exposed two sides of same coin.”

Replying to Apni Party leaders claim, Younus Bashir wrote, “This was never about jobs. It is all about demography. Domicile law changed. They will get new people in and give them jobs as well.”

Mudasir Bhat said, “You illiterate politicians have always caused us trouble. Look who will be domicile people working here from 15 years and their kids’ you know how many they are also those studied for 7 years. You people are so incapable knowledge less and vision less.”

Replying to Apni Party leaders claim, Nisar Kumar wrote, “Respected sir again they are misguiding us. The question was both land and jobs but we are talking about jobs what about the land. Still a priority is land then we can protect our jobs. Otherwise tomorrow they will snatch us both land as well as jobs.”
