Army solider abducted by suspected militants in Pulwama

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Thursday abducted an Army soldier from Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

A police officer told GNS that the militants abducted the soldier namely Aurangzeb who was travelling in a passenger vehicle.

“Today morning at about 9 AM, Army men from 44 RR camp at Shadimarg stoped a private vehicle and asked the driver to drop the soldier in Pulwama. When the vehicle reached near Kalampora, militants came in front of the vehicle and abducted the Army man,” he said.

Aurangzeb, a resident of Poonch, is presently posted at Shadimarg Army camp. He was on his way to his home town when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, massive searches have been launched to trace out the abducted soldier.
