Assault rifle snatched from a cop in Kulgam

KULGAM — Suspected militants reportedly snatched an assault rifle from a policeman in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The incident occurred at Shamsipora Khudwani Crossing.

Reports said that an AK-47 rifle was snatched by suspected militants from a policeman who has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad, a resident of Devsar posted at Police Station Wanpoh.

The suspected militants managed to escape from the spot. However, a search operation was launched to track down the rifle snatchers.
