Attack on cop at Barzulla just a rumour: Police

SRINAGAR — Police strongly refuted the reports that a policeman has been attacked at Bhagat in Barzulla area of Srinagar stating that some people are spreading rumours.

A top official said that police has verified reports that a cop was shot at but it was proved that some rumours were being spread.

“We have taken cognizance of false reports,” he said.
