PULWAMA — A BJP activist has been elected President Municipal Committee Pampore unopposed on Thursday.
Sources said that Muhammad Yaqub Malik, a resident of Literbal Pampore area of southern Pulwama district was elected President Municipal Committee Pampore uncontested.
“Today was the last day for filing of nomination papers for the President of Municipal Committee Pampore and only one nomination, that of Yaqoob Malik, was received. He was accordingly elected President MC Pampore,” said an official.
