Cordon & Search Operation (CASO)

SOPORE — Government forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation in Warpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Sources said that a joint team of government forces including 22 RR, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police Sopore, 179 CRPF personnel cordoned off Warpora village of Sopore.

Reports suggest that the forces launched search operation after receiving credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Sources said that government forces sealed all entry and exit points leading to the area.

When the report was filed, door to door search operation was going on and so far, no contact has been established with militants.

It is pertinent to mention here that it is the same place where three JeM militants were killed last month.
