Chargesheet filed against militant associate in Pulwama: Police

SRINAGAR — Awantipora Police have produced a chargesheet in a case related to possessing illicit arms, providing logistics and furthering militant activities, before the NIA Court Pulwama.

A police spokesperson in a statement issued here said that police in Awantipora produced a chargesheet in case FIR number 120 of 2024 at Police Station Awantipora against a militant associate namely Hijaz Nazir Magray son of Nazir Ahmad Magray, a resident of Goripora Mohalla in Lassipora area of Pulwama (presently under custody) before the designated NIA Court Pulwama.

The statement reads that during the investigation of the case, the militant associate was found involved in offences under sections 7/25 Arms Act, 13, 18, 23 and 39 UA(P) Act for possessing illicit arms and ammunition, providing logistic support to militants and for furthering the militant activities.

Police will deal strictly against such anti-national elements and are committed to dismantling militant infrastructure from its roots, the statement further said.
