
SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported third COVID-19 death in a single day as a 75-year-old female Cancer patient breathed her last at Chest Disease Hospital this evening, health officials said.
Nodal Officer for COVID-19 at GMC, Dr Saleem Khan said that a woman, aged 75 years, who had Thyroid cancer (last stage) and was tested positive for COVID-19, succumbed at CD Hospital this evening.
“She was shifted to CD Hospital from SMHS after testing positive for the virus,” Dr Khan said.
This is the 4th COVID-19 death in Kashmir since yesterday and third in a row in a single day.
Earlier in the day, three COVID-19 deaths were reported in Kashmir that include a 65-year-old man from Kulgam and a 75-year-old man from Anantnag.
