HANDWARA — Two personnel from Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) after returning from their native States have been quarantined in north Kashmir’s Handwara town.

The two SSB personnel who arrived in Handwara from Madhaya Pradesh and Bihar were taken to Handwara hospital after which they were put under observation for 24 hours at PHC Nathnusa.

Block Medical Officer, Handwara, Abdul Majid said that the samples of both men have been sent to laboratory for testing and result is awaited.

“As a precautionary measure, they have been quarantined, otherwise, they didn’t show any symptoms. They are under observation as they have travel history. I appeal people not to spread rumours. Everything is fine in Handwara,” Block Medical Officer said.
