Government reconstitutes J&K State Social Welfare Board

SRINAGAR — The Government today ordered the constitution of Governing Body and Executive Committee of the J&K State Social Welfare Board.

The Members of the Governing Body are Dr. (Prof) Nirmal Gupta (Chairperson), Administrative Secretaries of Education, Finance, Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj besides Prof. Deepshika Kotwal, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Mr. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo, Mrs. Annusuya Khosa, Farooq Ahmed (Help Poor Voluntary Trust), Syed Shujaat Bukhari (Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir) and two representatives of Central Social Welfare Board.

The Secretary of the Board would be the Member Secretary of the Governing Body.

The Members nominated to the Executive Committee of the Board are Dr. (Prof) Nirmal Gupta (Chairperson), Administrative Secretaries of Education, Finance and Social Welfare departments, Prof. Deepshika Kotwal, Syed Shujaat Bukhari (Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir) and one nominee of the Central Social Welfare Board.

The Secretary of the Board would be the Member Secretary of the Executive Committee.

Dr. Gupta has welcomed all the members and hoped that they would contribute, with their experience and expertise, towards the upliftment of the downtrodden, particularly the women and children.
