SRINAGAR — A civilian was injured after militants hurled a grenade at security forces in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar on Sunday evening, reports said.
Reports from the news agency KDC said that some unknown militants hurled a grenade at Eidgah area here towards joint Naka of Police and CRPF’s 237 Battalion due to which one civilian namely Aijaz Deva (32) son of Abdul Rashid Deva, a resident of Danmar Sangam, sustained a minor injury.
Accordingly, he was brought to a local hospital and is said to be out of danger.
Police have rushed to the spot and searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
A police officer confirmed the incident to KDC and said a case under the relevant section of the law is being registered in this regard.
