Grenades & bullets recovered from four persons in Shopian

SHOPIAN — Government forces on Wednesday claimed that they recovered four grenades and 100 rounds of AK-47 from four persons residing in different parts of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

These arrests and recoveries were made by soldiers from 34 and 44 Rashtriya Rifles.

Official sources said that four arrested persons are Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar of Ratnipora, Parvaiz Ahmad Kumar, Sajad Ahmad Dhobi, both residents of Pinjura and Shahid Manzoor of Hillow Imam Sahib.

Four grenades and 100 rounds of AK-47 were recovered from their possession.

A case vide FIR number 191/2020 under Section 7/25, 18, 39 ULA and 307 IPC has been registered in this regard.
