PULWAMA — A gunfight has started between militants and government forces in forests of Brenpathri of Kahlil Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday morning.
An official sources said that on receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, joint team of forces including 42 RR, CRPF and SOG launched search operation in the area.
On intensifying the search operation towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon the forces which was retaliated while triggering gunfight.
Sources said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area and firing was on till this report was filled.
