Hundreds throng women constable recruitment rally at Humhama

SRINAGAR — The recruitment of lady constables in two women battalions of Jammu and Kashmir Police is going on in full swing at RTC ground Humhama in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police official said that scores of aspirants reached the RTC ground at Humhama to participate in the recruitment drive.

He said, “This is an employment opportunity and a chance to serve the country as well, adding that participation of women in this rally is very high which is a good sign.”

While talking on the sidelines of the recruitment rally, one of the aspirants said, “The crimes against women, incidents of rape and women trafficking are witnessing a steep rise. I wish to be a saviour and make sure all this stops.”

“There’s a lot of unemployment in the Union Territory, youth should participate in such recruitment rallies,” she added.

The recruitment drive is being held from 28-06-2021 to 30-06-2021 at RTC ground Humhama.
