Hurriyat activist Ayoub Khan from Pulwama passes away

PULWAMA — Hurriyat activist Mohammad Ayoub Khan from Chewakalan village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district passed away after being ill for over the last many years.

As per the sources, the deceased Ayoub Khan was one of the great spiritual personalities in the southern district.

A student of Ayoub Khan, Ishfaq Ahmad said, “He was a great personality with an inspiring character. After being ill for over five year, he finally left for the eternal world.”

“He was admitted in the District Hospital Pulwama for nearly a month. Last day, he was referred to a Srinagar hospital where he succumbed,” a local said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people participated in the funeral prayers (Nimaz-e-Janaza) of the deceased Khan, which was held at 10:30 AM in his native village.
