Intense clashes erupt during CASO in Kulgam

SRINAGAR — Clashes erupted during a cordon and search operation in Khur Batpora area in DK Pora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam.

Reports reaching here said that soon after government forces launched search operation in the area, youth took to streets and started pelting stones on the forces which was retaliated by smoking tear smoke and sound shells, trigerring clashes.

Earlier, government forces on specific inputs about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.

Meanwhile, search operation amid clashes was on in the area when this report was filed.
