Lady injured as polling booth stone pelted in Palhalan

BARAMULLA — Clashes erupted in volatile Palhalan area of Pattan in Baramulla district after protesters pelted stones on the polling booth in the area.

According to reports, a lady was injured in the stone pelting incident.

“The protesters pelted stones on the booth in the area that lead to clashes with government forces deployed in the area,” locals claimed.

They said that the injured lady was evacuated to a medical facility. “She has been referred to Srinagar’s main hospital SMHS for advanced treatment,” they said.

Voting for the Baramulla Parliamentary seat is underway in the region.
