SRINAGAR — Security forces on Saturday evening arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant associate in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by joint team of police and Army in Sopore.
“One militant associate from main town Sopore was arrested and incriminating material was recovered from his possession,” they said.
An official identified the arrested Over Ground Worker (OGW) as Muzamil Ahmed War, son of Manzoor Ahmed War and resident of Warpora Sopore, saying that that he was linked with Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit.
Meanwhile, a case in this regard has been registered and futher investigation is going on.
Earlier, an active militant was apprehended by a joint team of Police and Army near Tapper area of Pattan. He was identified as Junaid Farooq Pandit.
