Locals demand macadamization of Pulwama-Sangam road

PULWAMA — A vital Pulwama-Sangam road in Pulwama district is in dilapidated condition, causing immense hardship to people.

As per the news agency KNO, the Pulwama-Sangam road is one of the most vital roads connecting scores of villages with Pulwama town, the National Highway and other areas.

Locals said the road was macadamized around four years ago but is now marked with potholes. They said that the road developed cracks at several places and required immediate attention.

Shakoor Ahmad, a resident of Trichal Pulwama, said that the road is in good condition at some places but overall, it is in dilapidated condition and must be macadamised at the earliest.

They sought the attention of LG Manoj Sinha, DC Pulwama and other officials in this regard.

An official of the R&B Department said that work on the road will start within a few days and people will get a sigh of relief.
