Man held for keeping 31 non-locals in his house without screening in Tral

SRINAGAR — A person was arrested on Monday after police came to know that he has kept 31 non-locals in his house without proper screening.

A police official said that on specific information that a person namely Arshid Hussain Dar, son of Ghulam Ahmad Dar of Hardmir Tral is employing 31 labourers at construction site and had transported them to Valley without any screening or medical formalities.

He said that accordingly, a team lead by SDPO Tral, Dr. Aijaz Ahmad and SHO Gulzar Ahmad raided his house where non-local labourers complained of chest infections, fever etc.

He added that the person was booked and arrested under FIR Number 21 of 2020 in Police Station Tral under Sections 188 for violating 144 CrPc in the sub-division Tral and Disaster Management Act.
