Militant killed as gunfight rages in north Kashmir’s Boniyar

SRINAGAR — A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Bujthalan area of Boniyar of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning.

Reports reaching here said that a joint team of 6 Jakli of Army, SOG Baramulla and 53BN of CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

As senior police officer confirmed the gunfight between militants and the forces in the area.

As per the sources, one unidentified militant has been killed in the ongoing operation and two to three more militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
