Militants attack government forces’ checkpoint in Shopian

SRINAGAR — Suspected militants fired upon a joint Naka party in main town Shopian in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.

A senior Police officer said that militants fired some rounds of fire on joint Naka party of CRPF and Police at Shugloo bridge main town Shopian.

Meanwhile, militants managed to escape from the spot, the officer added.

Till this report was being filed, no loss of life was reported.

Meanwhile, whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
