
SRINAGAR — A cop who was abducted by militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian district has been released.
Sources said that militants have set free the policeman Shakeel Ahmed who was abducted this evening from Thairan village of Shopian district.
An official said that the cop is safe and sound at a police station.
Pertinently, after the incident, government forces had cordoned off the adjacent villages and a search operation was launched, however, militants released him and allowed him to go.
Earlier also, an abducted cop was released after his abduction from south Kashmir.
