Muslim League condemns slapping of 38th PSA on Masarat Aalam

SRINAGAR — Muslim League on Wednesday condemned the slapping of 38th PSA on its chairman Masarat Aalam Bhat and second on Muhammad Yousuf Mir.

According to a statement issued here, ML spokesperson said, “The administration has made its mind to place Masarat Aalam behind bars and it is using PSA as a tool, otherwise courts have repeatedly quashed 36 PSA’s completely.”

Masarat Aalam is lodged in Ambhala Jail Jammu and was about to get release after his 37th PSA was also quashed last week.

“But instead of his release, he was kept at some unknown location and has been slapped with 38th PSA today in connection with some fabricated charges,“ the statement said.

It added, “It is the worst demonstration of political vendetta.”
