Drinking Water Scarcity

PULWAMA — Most of the residents in Newa area of Pulwama district are facing acute water shortage, which is making their life very difficult.

The local residents are blaming few ‘unscrupulous families’ who are using motors on supply line to fetch water for their kitchen gardens and water tanks, which reduces the pressure of water. Consequently, most of the households are unable to get water, even for daily use.

The residents demand immediate action against these households and requested the concerned department to use new pipes with high volume, wherever necessary.
