SRINAGAR — The National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths on Wednesday raided multiple locations in Kashmir Valley in connection with case FIR No. RC-29/2021/NIA/DLI for “hatching of conspiracy for undertaking violent terrorist acts in J&K and other major cities, by cadres of proscribed terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and their affiliates”.

Reliable sources told News agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that searches are being carried out in the residential house of Fahad Ali Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani, a resident of Hamdaniya Colony Chanapora and house of Furkaan Imran Khan son of Mohammad Imran Khan, resident of Government Housing Colony Bagh-e-Mehtab was also being searched by the sleuths of NIA.

They said that the residential house of Rashid Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Tibetan Colony Eidgah was also searched by the NIA team.

Sources further said that currently raids are underway at 11 locations in Kashmir – four in Srinagar, two each in Baramulla and Awantipora, one each in Pulwama, Sopore and Kulgam.

A spokesperson of NIA, according to news agency Kashmir Dot Com, said NIA had arrested four accused persons in this case on 13th of this month and identified the four allegedly accused as Waseem Ahmed Sofi resident of Chattabal Srinagar, Tariq Ahmed Dar resident of Shergarhi Srinagar, Bilal Ahmed Mir alias Bilal Fufu resident of Parimpora Srinagar and Tariq Ahmed Bafanda resident of Rajauri Kadal Srinagar.
