NIA raids underway at multiple locations in Kashmir

SRINAGAR — National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations in Kashmir valley in connection with a case already registered at NIA office, officials said on Saturday.

Official sources told KDC that NIA sleuths with the assistance of police and CRPF is carrying out raids in Baramulla, and south Kashmir’s Shopian.

The probing agency raided the residence of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, a resident of New Colony Fethpora Baramulla. Mushtaq is a government employee in the Education department.

In Shopian, the raid was carried out in the house of Ali Mohammad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, a resident of Muradpora.

Similarly, raids are being conducted in other parts of the valley as well.

An official confirmed to KDC and said the raids are being conducted in connection with a case already registered at the NIA office. “The details of the case will be shared later,” he said.
