On duty, cop dies of cardiac arrest in DPL Awantipora

SRINAGAR — A policeman posted at District Police Lines Awantipora died of a cardiac arrest on the intervening Tuesday and Wednesday night, officials said.

Identifying the deceased as Aijaz Ahmad, a resident of Ladhoo in Pampore, the official said the policeman suffered a massive cardiac arrest, leading to his death.

The body will be handed over to family after conduct of necessary medico-legal formalities, the official added.
