One more COVID-19 death in Kashmir, J&K toll rises to 36

SRINAGAR — A fresh death recorded in Srinagar district has become the latest victim of novel coronavirus in Kashmir Valley, taking the death toll due to the deadly disease to 36 in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.

An official said that a 65-year-old woman from Dandarkha Batamaloo who died in SMHS Hospital in Srinagar has been tested positive for COVID-19. With this fatality, the death toll due to the virus has gone up to 36 in J&K.

Pertinently, 51 fresh cases of COVID-19 positive were reported in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.

As per the data available with us, among fresh cases, 49 were reported from Jammu Division while two including the deceased were reported from Kashmir Division.
