SRINAGAR — Peoples Democratic Party Monday staged a protest against the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami (J&K) by the Central Government in southern district of Pulwama.

The protest was led by PDP State Secretary, Dr Mir Samiullah. A large number of PDP workers assembled outside Circuit House Pulwama and staged a massive protest against the ban on JeI.

Dr Mir Samiullah said that since elections are near, BJP works hard to woo voters at the cost of Kashmir.

“This ban should immediately be revoked. We know BJP’s sinister plans behind this move. BJP tries to win elections at the cost of Kashmiris. But it should bear in mind that its plans have been badly exposed,” he said.
