SRINAGAR — Acting on public complaints against a petrol pump station in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district for allegedly mixing kerosene with petrol, authorities on Monday swung into action and took samples for examination.
“We received a number of complaints that the petrol pump situated at Drabgam, Rajpora area is mixing kerosene,” Tehsildar Rajpora Raqib Ahmad said.
He said acting on the complaints, a team was deputed to the spot to take samples for the examination.
“The pump has been directed to remain closed till the report of the sample comes,” he said.
“If kerosene oil was found mixed, the petrol pump will be sealed and action as per law will be initiated against the owner,” the Tehsildar said.
