SRINAGAR — Suspected militants on Sunday evening shot at and injured a policeman in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reports said.
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that a policeman was injured after suspected militants fired at him in his native village Bandzoo.

They said that the cop was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The injured cop has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Wagay, son of Ghulam Mohammad Wagay, of Bandzoo Pulwama.
Meanwhile, reports said that the area has been cordoned off to trace the suspected militants.
