PULWAMA — On World Blood Donor Day, the National Youth for Peace Foundation (NYPF) in collaboration with Skylark Paramedical College, Red Cross Society Pulwama, and Paradise Career Experts, organized a blood donation camp in Pulwama.

The event witnessed overwhelming participation from diverse community members, including a large number of young people, police, and military personnel. This collective effort resulted in the donation of approximately 80 pints of blood, making a significant contribution to emergency medical resources.

Deven Sood, CO of the 55 Rashtriya Rifles, acknowledged the volunteers from NYPF, students from Skylark, and members of the Red Cross Society for their efforts. He praised their collective initiative as a positive societal contribution, emphasising the importance of such community-driven efforts.

SSP Pulwama PD Nitya, who was invited by NYPF to the event, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of this noble cause. She commended the organisers for their social work and its positive influence on peer behaviour.

She further encouraged the youth and other community members to step forward in saving lives through such humanitarian acts.

Musaddiq Reyaz, founder of NYPF, stressed the critical importance of organising blood donation camps. “Organising such donation drives is crucial as blood is a life-saving resource in emergencies. Today’s active participation highlights the community’s dedication to this noble cause,” he said.

Addressing the donors, Wani Rauf emphasised that donating blood is a harmless act for the donor but immensely beneficial to those in need. He applauded the involvement of women in the camp, marking it as a significant and positive development.
