Srinagar: In reaction to the three killings in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani and JKLF called for a statewide complete shutdown on Monday.

Two civilians and a militant were killed in Lelhaar and Ratnipora areas today. A young girl, Shaista Hamid and Danish Rashid were allegedly killed in forces’ action today in South Kashmir.

Speaking from New Delhi, Geelani said, “South Kashmir is turning a new killing zone for security forces”, Kashmir Life reported.

Calling for a complete shutdown on Monday, the Hurriyat patriarch said, “Whosoever raises his/her voice against the oppression of India in Kashmir is muzzled using military might by the Indian state.”

“These killings are not going to deter our resolve and we won’t surrender until and unless the Indian state doesn’t show sincerity in solving the Kashmir dispute,” he added.
