PULWAMA — Sixty-five students from Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir embarked on a five-day “Bharat Darshan” tour on Tuesday, organized by the local police as part of their Civic Action Programme.

Superintendent of Police, Pulwama, PD Nitya flagged off the group from the District Police Lines, joined by other senior officers. The tour aims to expose students to India’s diversity and cultural richness through visits to historical sites and tourist destinations.

“This tour is primarily aimed at providing our youth with an opportunity to understand the togetherness of India despite its immense diversity,” said SSP Nitya. “We want them to experience exciting tourist spots, historical landmarks, and diverse cultures to gain a deeper appreciation for our nation.”

All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the J&K Police, demonstrating their commitment to youth development and community engagement. The students will visit historical sites in Delhi and Kolkata, immersing themselves in India’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.

The students expressed their excitement for the opportunity to explore different parts of the country and broaden their perspectives.
