PULWAMA — Family members and relatives of a pregnant woman who died late Wednesday night at district hospital Pulwama have appealed to the authorities to clear snow on Abhama-Sangarwani road so that they could take her body to their native village.
Alam Bibi, a resident of Sangarwani, Pulwama was shifted to district hospital Pulwama on Wednesday afternoon. However, she died at the facility.
The family members and relatives of the deceased have been left stranded in Abhama village of the district with the body.
“We are not able to move forward with the body as the road is blocked due to the accumulation of snow. We appeal to the authorities to clear snow on the road,” said a family member.
Sangarwani village is located on the tail end of the district and has reportedly received five feet of snow. (GKNN)
