SRINAGAR — In wake of the snowfall and blockage of Srinagar-Jammu highway, Divisional Administration here in Kashmir capital Srinagar has restricted the free supply of fuel in the Valley.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P.K Pole has issued an order to the State Level Coordinator, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Deputy General Manager LPG/Retail, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Territory Manager LPG/Retail Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, directing them to curtail the supply of fuel and LPG to consumers.
As per the order, those who ply two wheelers can get only 3 litres of fuel, three wheelers 5 litres of fuel, four wheelers (private) can get 10 litres, four wheelers (commercial) 20 litres and heavy motor vehicles including buses and truck will get only 20 litres of fuel at fuel stations.
“The LPG cylinder shall be issued to the consumer only after 21 days against proper acknowledgement and record. All the concerned Line Departments shall conduct extensive market checking to crack whip on the persons indulging in overcharging, black-marketing, profiteering etc while concerned Tehsildar & TSO shall make surprise visits and ensure implementation of these directions and report through concerned Deputy Commissioner accordingly,” the order reads.
